Benefits include conserving drinking water, capturing and reusing stormwater, recharging the groundwater, and preventing polluted runoff from flowing to the rivers and ocean, while providing food and habitat for birds, butterflies and other wildlife.
Angelenos who replace turf grass with a sustainable landscape are eligible to receive a rebate of $2.00 per square foot for up to 1,500 square feet of lawn replaced.
